The Touch Combo came together at the end of the year 2015  and has avoided easy categorization ever since. Based in the Washington DC Area, the intensely collaborative quartet has constantly searched for rules to break and boundaries to cross, bridging genres and techniques while exploring the infinite possibilities of jazz, rock, fusion, funk and some traditional rhythms brought by the influences of their musicians: Steve Pae (bassist with korean roots), Manuel Medina (Peruvian keyboardist) and former members Daniel Ortiz (Mexican drummer) and Ali Rezaeipour (guitarrist from Iran). Sometimes as a quintet featuring vocalist Robin Lewis and Bulgarian flutist Yana Nikol, the band explores unconventional sonic landscapes that are evocative and energetic. The Touch Combo’s debut album is in the process and meanwhile they perform across all US Northern East Coast. Yet again they continue to explore myriad musical forms born of jazz along with any source that forwards music that is unique. TTC is a band where pop, rock, blues, jazz and folk meld with classic melodies and rhythmic innovation into interesting music from the heart for the masses.
